Open Role

Content Editor & Social Media Specialist

📍 Bengaluru Full-time Work from Office

About the role

Between recorded conversations, event footage, podcast episodes, and years of books and frameworks, Softway has far more good material sitting around than we've ever put in front of people. That's the actual problem — not a lack of ideas, but nobody dedicated to noticing what's worth pulling out of it, shaping it, and getting it live consistently.

That's what this role solves. You'll go through what we already have, find the moment that actually matters, and take it all the way to a finished, polished piece — genuinely well-edited, not just cut together. We want someone hands-on and skilled: comfortable in a real editing timeline, sharp with motion and on-screen design, someone who takes pride in the finished cut. AI speeds up your workflow. It doesn't replace your eye or your hands.

What you'll do

Video & Social Content

Turning raw recordings into short-form video and platform-native posts.

  • Turn long-form videos, conversations, podcasts, and events into short-form content — finding the hook, not just cutting chronologically.
  • Handle the actual edit yourself: pacing, motion graphics, on-screen text, sound.
  • Use AI to your advantage: transcripts, rough cuts, captions — whatever gets you to the finished piece faster.
  • Write platform-appropriate social posts, adapting into the distinct voices of our authors and leaders.

Written & Web

Long-form writing, and keeping our sites current.

  • Turn recordings into written posts, articles, and website resources — using voice-and-tone guides or AI assistants, then editing carefully rather than publishing raw output.
  • Add and update content across Softway.com, Culture-Plus.com, and LoveAsAStrategy.com — within existing brand and design systems.

Channel Ownership & Reporting

Actually running the calendar, the queue, and the numbers — not just producing assets and handing them off.

  • Own and manage posting across our designated social accounts — not just planning content, actually running the channels.
  • Build and maintain a content calendar, with a real backlog — working weeks ahead, not reacting daily.
  • Track what's working and put together simple performance signals and reports — the strategy team should be able to see what's landing and why.

Email & Events — Growing Responsibility

Not day one — where this role expands over time.

  • Help map and write nurture campaigns for event attendees, prospects, and subscribers, and build simple HubSpot workflows.
  • Support event promotion — listings, social, partner toolkits, invitations, and follow-up.

Show us how you think — not just what you've made.

We're not hiring for a checklist. But the right person will read this and recognise themselves:

Good fit if:

  • You naturally notice the best sentence in a conversation, and know why the opening determines whether someone keeps watching.
  • You enjoy turning one strong idea into several different pieces of content.
  • You know how to use AI without letting the work sound generic — you edit it, not just publish it.
  • You're comfortable with feedback and improve the work quickly.
  • You're excited by owning a content engine, not just completing assignments.
  • You have a real eye for visual judgment — layout, on-screen text, basic composition feel intuitive, not foreign.

Probably not, if:

  • You need every task scripted in detail before you'll start — this role runs on noticing what needs to happen, not waiting to be told.
  • You'd rather let AI generate the final post or edit than actually shape it yourself.
  • You go quiet when something's stuck instead of flagging it early.
  • You see scheduling, reporting, or routine posting as beneath the "real" creative work — it's most of the job.
  • Feedback makes you defensive rather than something you use to get better fast.

What success looks like

Within the first few months, this role should be:

  • Owning the social content calendar with a real multi-week backlog
  • Reliably turning long recordings into several strong short-form assets
  • Writing in the voice of our leaders and brands with minimal rewrites needed
  • Publishing and updating website content independently
  • Supporting at least one active nurture campaign
